The 2023 RisingStories International Story Pitching Competition is a unique opportunity for aspiring writers and storytellers to showcase their creative abilities on an international platform. The competition, which is being organized by Studio76, and co-organized by several leading organizations such as Blintn in South Korea, Weiyu Films in Singapore, GroupM, Mission Entertainment, Southern Flame Ltd. and TDI (Taiwan Dream Institute) in Taiwan, is open for submissions now until April 14th, 2023.

This year, the competition has extended its reach to accept original stories in both Chinese and English languages. The jury is composed of renowned industry professionals, who come from all aspects of the business, including actors, producers, directors, authors, scriptwriters and more. Some of the notable judges include James Wen, Hong Hui-Fang, Angie Chai, Lester Hsi, Chi-Chi Fan, Lyra Fu, and Alain Hao for Chinese submissions.

The inaugural RisingStories International Story Pitching Competition was a huge success, and the judges are eager to see this year's submissions. Taiwan's renowned producer, Angie Chai, who is behind the hit drama "Meteor Garden", says, "No matter how wild your story is, you're welcome to submit it." Director Lester Hsi, who has judged the competition for two consecutive years, feels honored to be a part of the event and has been impressed by the rich cultural diversity of previous submissions.

Actor James Wen, who won the Best Supporting Actor award in Taiwan’s Golden Bell TV Awards for "The World Between Us", says that as a judge, he will focus on different aspects of the stories and leave his subjective opinions behind. He will use his years of experience in acting and reading scripts to help the participants. Actress Hong Hui-Fang, the winner of the Best Actress award at the 8th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, notes that while she has a preference for heartfelt or artistic stories, she will reset and take a fresh look at each submission to find its creativity and highlights. She also stresses that logic and rationality are essential to a convincing story.
